World's only sustainable organic cod goes Japanese - 26-11-2007

Looking for something much more exciting than the usual hum-drum sushi experience? Well look no further as the world’s first and only truly sustainable, organic cod, NO CATCH…JUST COD, is being sliced, diced and served up as sushi and sashimi exclusively by new London-based Japanese food bar, Tsuru.

Totally uninspired by other sushi and Japanese food take-away offerings in the capital, Kensuke Yamada, cordon bleu chef and director of Tsuru, is set to open his modern take on the ’Japanese food bar’ Today, in London’s Southbank area. Tsuru will allow sushi lovers to stock up on the highest quality Japanese fare with the ultimate ‘food on the go’ convenience.

Comprising a menu of fresh organic produce from the same suppliers as those used by top London restaurants, Kensuke was so impressed by the fresh, clean taste of NO CATCH…JUST COD, it was a must for Tsuru’s menu. As the world’s first and only truly sustainable, organic cod, it now also means grabbing a take away bento box of cod sushi rolls and sashimi has never been so fish and environmentally friendly.
